Hi every one ,first time question . I have a Vista 318 love the boat but seem to get a little water in the bilge in the cabin . The dealer has checked all the skin fittings all seem to be good but every now and again I get water in the bilge , very frustration , has any one had a simular problem ? |

Wow that is a shame. Not sure what the cause is. For reference, my ancient 2000 268 Vista has never had water from storms, washing, or anything in the bilge or bow. It's always been bone dry, and is in the water slipped for 6 months per year. Something is not right with your boat. Stay on the dealer until he figures it out. |

When I removed the cabin sole for the first time on my 06 248 I was horrified to see water in there.. This boat up until that point was about as perfect as a boat could be. And I was afraid that my perception of quality was about to be destroyed. Ever hear how the simplist of awnsers is usually the right one? In my case the winterizing mechanic broke the nipple off the end of the shower sump in the process of winterization and rather than fixing it... he ackumpuckied it... So I sent an email to Rule and they sent me a new sump free of charge! Check all the hose barbs on the shower sump.. In my boat, the AC Condensate Pan and the Shower drain into the sump. More than enough that, if leaking, would put all sorts of water in the bilge. |
