I need to access my windlass so I can re-wire with a heavier gage wire. The owner before me used 14 awg. How do you get the front panel and the shelves off? I took a quick look the last time I was at the boat and I didn't see anything.

I just did my 248 with 8AWG. Ran it along the starboard side shelf and pushed it through the same hole the wires that go to the switch.

I did not need to remove the whole shelf just one side (connected to head). There is a plastic L brace on mine which i just needed to remove 2 screws.
