Fresh water is flowing. Sea strainer is clean. No error codes. Reset thermostat. Still no cool air.

It seems like you tried all the obvious stuff. Did it ever work? Is there any air flowing? Maybe the fan has it's own breaker on the unit.

I haven't accessed the unit on this boat yet, and it doesn't look easy. But you may want to take a look at it. There maybe some sensors or cutoffs back there. You should be able to feel the coils and they should be cold and wet while it's running.

Maybe our resident expert can tell you exactly how to get in, but it looks like the panel under the stairs has to come off.

The bulk of the AC unit is in one place inside the bottom of the cabinet with the electrical panel and radio. You get to it from under the stairs. The panel comes off easily enough. But if you have to do any real work then the stairs need to be removed. Given yours is new you may want to leave that to the dealer, or the local Cruisair dealer. Most of the time the dealer just calls them anyway, so check to see if that's the case.

This is more of a generic statement, useful for other readers, but note anything different from yours.

One question, is it pumping water out the port side? If it's not pumping water then there may be something wrong with the AC water pump. This is located in the mid cabin, under the seats in the middle. You pull up both aft cushions in the mid-cabin and there's a panel in the center. There's a locker below in which you'll find the through-hull sea cocks for the genset and the AC, along with their sea strainers. If you don't see any water being pumped then the first thing you do is check to see that the through-hull is open. Then check that the sea strainer isn't clogged.

You do check and clean your sea strainers, right? There are four of them, both engines, genset and AC. You clean one by closing the sea cock for it and then unscrewing the wing nuts on the top of the strainer. Pull the strainer canister out and clean it. You should do this every so often (like monthly around here). If the strainer is clear and the sea cock is open then listen to hear if the pump is running. If it's trying to run and stops then there may be something blocking the line (trash bags, jellyfish and things you don't wanna think about). When you cleaned the strainer you should've seen signs of excess crud or not. You can check that the through-hull below isn't blocked by opening the sea cock while the strainer is open. Yes, do this quickly, for if you leave that sea cock open you can certainly sink your boat. It's only a 5/8" hose so it's not like there's going to be a raging torrent, just be methodical and do the test within a 30 seconds, tops. The bilge pump right there will pump out anything that spills over the strainer.

If the strainers are clean and the water is pumping then you need to check the AC unit. It's possible for a unit to "ice up" and not cool properly. Mine did this when I recommissioned it this spring. I opened the grille under the steps and noticed actual ice crust formed on the condenser coil. I used one a space heater pointed into the opening to thaw it out. But as with any heating device you'd want to be careful about using it.

So if it's pumping a good, steady stream out the starboard side then I'd open the grille and look at the coils. If they're not iced up then it's time to call either the dealer or your local Cruisair service center.
