Well with no response.....maybe this info will be useful to someone.

I have weaver davits......and they wont work well with out brackets due to the existing location of the mounts on the inflatable vs. the boat.

So what I did was tied two rubber hooks around the inflatable's rubber mounting sets, then I place these hooks thru my transom eyes, run lines under the inflatable and lift it up! All of the pressure is placed on the hooks hanging from the transom eye's, then I just cross the lines and tie to the cleats. It is a west marine 8.5' Inflatable with a 3.5 hp johnson (thats fits under the rear seat) and it fits almost damn near center!!!

I just deflate/roll up and leave on the ESP with one rope securing it. It works cause I go out and pretty much stay put. havent had any problems with it sliding off the back.
