I wanted to share something that happened this weekend. I thought my fresh water was empty so I filled it and turned the fresh water switch on. I tried all of the faucets and the aft shower and all that happened was the pump ran and ran. I put a call in to the dealer thinking it needed to be primed. He stopped by and we found that the strainer that is before the pump was clogged with what looked like a clear gray slime (the consistency of vaseline). I cleaned it and it ran great. We are not sure what caused it, but surmised it may have been anti freeze that coagulated.

I just wanted to pass this on.

I have had that problem before, mine was not from anti freeze but from minerals in water. We must have poor water quality around here! This also causes my hot water to smell and coagulate if I don't drain after use.

I have found this to be a problem with both my boat and 5th wheel RV, I drain unused water after each use. This has prevented slime and smell issue for me.

It is possible that we have bad water as well. My last boat didn't have the strainer. The water can smell bad after a while even with the tablets.
