From the lack of replies I'm guessing nobody here knows.
I would recommend avoiding cyanoacrylates (aka Super Glue) because they make too brittle a bond. Same thing with most epoxies.
Taking a guess, I'd say some sort of contact cement would be your best bet. Not something 'impossible to remove' though, as the gasket will eventually need actual replacement. But a 3M SprayMent sort of contact adhesive would seem like a reasonable solution. Just remove the door from the fridge to do the job. You really don't want the task to get more complicated by getting glue on the carpets, etc. Once it's off you can take it ashore and mask off the door and the sides of the gasket (if it's a spray type, just the door if it's brush-on). Then just follow the instructions for the adhesive. Which is usually to apply a thin coat to each surface, wait a bit to let it get tacky and then mate them together. Most adhesive instructions will let you know how to make a movable vs immediate contact, you'd want the movable kind to make sure you get it situated just right.
You're trying to make a vinyl to painted metal attachment, factor those two materials into it when searching for the right glue. Most glue sticks fine to painted metal, but the gasket PVC vinyl is the challenge. Make sure the glue will work with it. If the label doesn't say that it DOES work then don't assume it will.
