Hi All: I am getting some water coming through in the windshield area on the port side, near some weatherstripping. The one that has me puzzled is that I am finding water in the cedar closet--bottom right hand corner. It doesn't come in when I am running, thought it may be the a/c. didn't use the a/c for a week, no leak. My son spent an hour cleaning the deck and hosing it down, and I start to find water again. Not sure where it is getting in and how it is getting back to the closet area. Any ideas are appreciated. Regards, Mike |

It's the A/C. Forgot about this one...sorry should have posted. Here is the deal. I had the same problem year one. Took a bit too figure it out. We were seeing the carpet in the aft cabin getting damp as well. We brought the boat in thinking it was a leak from the windshield. They checked it out and said there was none. The problem continued. The problem: The cold air distribution box off the blower is metal. When it's humid it sweats, especially when you first start cooling the cabin off. Well, the box when sweating drips outside the catch pan. The Solution: My dealer installed a ramp/catch pan made from starboard with some raised edges to catch the drip and direct them to the catch pan. Problem solved. The only time we have any water in the closet now is when we go thru some rough seas and the reamining water in the pan actually splashes out. We just clean up afterwards because we no it might be wet. Email me and I'll see about getting a pic to you so you canshow your dealer. |
