I just took possession of a 2008 318 vista on Friday. The tv was working at my sea trial...now, I can’t get the tv to power up at all. I’ve looked for tripped circuit breakers under the helm seat...any other place I should be looking or trying? Thanks for any help you guys can give!

I am assuming its a similar majestic model which I received in my V275. 12v with at least coax input. Have you tried it in the car, in case the outlet blew out of the fuse popped? Some of the 12v cigarette lighter plugs have an embedded fuse (small) in the tip. I have an LED on there which shows when power is on (red), and changes to green when activated, if I remember correctly.

I would check the outlet with another device, cell phone charger, etc...that way you know if the TV died, loose connection, bad fuse, etc.

Check the outlet, is it getting power? Is it designed to work on 12v or just 120v?

I’ll be honest, I just checked really quick before leaving the boat once it was docked. I will check more this weekend. I tried to trace the wires quickly… And I don’t think it actually went to an outlet.?. I thought those TVs were dual power… 120 V when I was connected to shore power and 12 V when you were on the hook.?.

Stock TV should be. In my '08 I think it was a Jensen? Not sure as I replaced it right away with a bigger size 12v (Insignia brand from Best Buy - cut off the adapter from the power cord and hard wired it directly to the boat).

So I went down to the boat last night and got the tv to work. First off, it’s only the 12v version. There is a fuse as soon as the power comes into the back of the tv...I took the fuse out, made sure it was good, put it back in and the tv turned on. Probably a loose connection from the transport.?.?
Thanks for your help
