I am trying to find out where to purchase a new front esinglass for my 2003 248. From what I have found the canvas for the 268 and larger models that year were made by outside vendor, but the 248 canvas was made at factory? Four winns catalog lists part number 140-50344. I emailed four wins twice to see if it was available, no response. Hopefully someone here knows a vendor who makes it. Thanks

Great Lakes Boat Top manufactured the original canvas and glass. They should be able to set you up at a very reasonable price. I've been working with Holly Sexton at hsexton@greatlakesboattop.com Send her an email with year and maybe some photo's.

Good Luck.

Great Lakes Boat Top told me that they made the tops for the boats that had an arch. Four Winns made the tops for the non-arch boats. I got a quote from my local dealer about 4 years ago. If they can't do it anymore then you might need to go to a local canvas shop. I had one made by a local shop by having them duplicate the original. If your FW dealer cannot help, you might try another dealer.

It looks like having it made is may be my only option, unless someone else chimes in.

I have a 2000 268 no arch and I bought the full canvas from FW 2 years ago - made in-house. The fit is decent overall but the forward connector in particular I would outsource to a custom shop next time. Mine has a lot of sag and there’s no way to adjust the bimini bows to get it taut. I also had to have the side (triangle isinglass) panels extended as they were too short.
