I have a 2006 278 Vista and want to know if it has a factory installed fuel and water separator and if so where is it located! Thanks in advance! |

Screw on filter (looks like an oil filter), located on the front of the engine near the fuel pump. |

Thank you very much! I was on the boat and it ran good for 25 mins then wouldn't accelerate. I cruised slowly for a while and was thinking the separator might be the problem. I took it out today and again it stumbled a bit then coughed and popped just like the genset did before clearing out! I guess when I had loaded the gas tank with Sentry fuel treatment to clear out the problem with the genset it worked on the engine too! Ran for two hours like a top! Whew! All I saw were $$$$$$ flying from my wallet when it first happened! Tomorrow I change the separator! |
