I have a 2006 278 Vista and want to know if it has a factory installed fuel and water separator and if so where is it located! Thanks in advance!

Screw on filter (looks like an oil filter), located on the front of the engine near the fuel pump.

Thank you very much! I was on the boat and it ran good for 25 mins then wouldn't accelerate. I cruised slowly for a while and was thinking the separator might be the problem. I took it out today and again it stumbled a bit then coughed and popped just like the genset did before clearing out! I guess when I had loaded the gas tank with Sentry fuel treatment to clear out the problem with the genset it worked on the engine too! Ran for two hours like a top! Whew! All I saw were $$$$$$ flying from my wallet when it first happened! Tomorrow I change the separator!
