There is an opening below my fridge (there is probably a 1/2" gap under the fridge door) and space below my fridge in the compartment. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough space under my fridge to put in a fan, even at an angle. I could only fit fans behind the fridge.

Since hot air rises, the fan at the bottom of the fridge sucks air from the floor (and hence, from the opening under the fridge) and pushes it to the top of the fridge where the other fan pushes it over the fridge, towards the vent holes under the sink.

I could've cut a hole to better position the fans and send the heat somewhere else, like in the bilge, but I was very reluctant to make "permanent" modification in case my fan approach did not provide adequate results. Now that I know it works and works well, I will look at making a more permanent heat dissipation system.
