I noticed the rug under the V bunk has been wet right at the V in the hull. It seems to be coming from the anchor locker. Anyone else have this problem and what did they do to remedy it? I put a good marine sealant along the rear of the locker where it meets the bulkhead and it seems to be working. Also the drain holes from the locker are higher than the bottom of the locker so it is always wet during the rainy season and only dries out after a long time of dry season. Again any one else have this problem and what fixes did you use.

What boat do you have? I had the same issue with the 275-V and added a 3/4" drain to the trauft (spell check) under the anchor hatch lid. I ran the drain out through the starboard bow area. I used the proper fittings and sealed them with 3-M. On the out going fitting I placed a chrome half shell cover.

Very common issue. There are many posts about it.
I had a Vista 258 with the same issue. You have to "fix" the drain problem. I built up the bottom of the locker so it was level to the drains. I used pvc board then marine sealant all over the place.
On my current boat I use plastic strainers upside down. They are like baskets you might get at a fast food place for a plate but a little stronger. This keeps the rode off the bottom so it drains better. I have to credit this idea to the previous owner...

Thank you both for replying. Sorry about the late reply but wife isn't well and she comes first. I will look into raising the bottom of the anchor locker and using a basket as well. It will drain better and keep the rode dry too.
