I have the Bomar port lights in my cabin and the dog on one is broken occasionally letting in water in rough seas. Has anyone drilled and replace the dog or should I order and rebed new port light?

Good luck. I ended up going to a boat salvage yard in my area, and buying 2 used portlights out of the same boat, just for the dogs.

Check Ebay for your portlight if a boat salvage yard isnt practical ... might as well have a spare and now you'll have a few extra dogs. ((shrugs))
