I am going to replace both the control cables on my 01 298 Vista. I am also thinking about changing my dual top mount control. Anyone ever done this? Wonder how much a PITA this will be. I am planning on going with the Teleflex Extreme. I believe it is a 20 and 22 foot shift cable. Are they threaded on both ends? |

Yes, the TeleFlex Extreme will be threaded on both ends and after you change it you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner! Not really a PITA, buy a threaded barrel and screw the old to the new and try and slide it through. On my 268 (years ago) I dropped the headliner in the aft cabin to gain better access...it really just takes time to do. If you have to start cutting zip ties to be able to slide it through, there are a lot! |
