well I have just brought my first decent sized boat

its a 1992 235 vista

needs a fair bit to be honest but I know the engine is good , just praying the outdrive is ok its all OMC Cobra
I have to replace the shift cable as its snapped

I have fresh fuel filter as the fuel is old , there appears not to be a easy to remove the old fuel out of the tank

I have removed All the dash switches as they are manky , new bilge blower on order

any tips and advice is appreciated

Yes, and it's unfortunate. There is a wealth of info on here, but it seems most FW conversations are now mostly on FB.

I've always found it easier to look up info on a website forum, versus social media.

Sorry, that I can't help much with your model boat or any tips/suggestions. With my boat being much smaller and an outboard, there's just not much that applies.

I guess I could help by saying to check all your electrical connections for corrosion, especially at the gauges.

Good luck with the "new" boat!

Ken
