| Post subject: | TV Antenna Recommendations |
Any recommendations on boat TV antennas? I have seen Glomex and Shakespeare SeaWatch advertised but no feedback on quality or reception performance. Also, I'm looking at installing the antenna on my radar arch - I have a Vista 298. I know the factory installed a connection in the transom locker to the forward cabin - is there a cable run from the factory also in the arch? Thanks! |

I have one of these and reception is really good in Sydney Harbour which is generally full of surounding hills and, in the past been very dificult to get reception areas. http://www.oceantalk.com.au/sd_home.htm I dont know who sells them in the US. Robbi |

Since the arch is usually installed at the dealership (to make the boat easier to ship over the road) I wouldn't expect the TV coax to be installed. I know the one in our 348 is not installed as part of the factory bundle (as in, the dealer did a shitty job of it). |
