I Have a 2007 318 Vista. Twin 5.7 Gi Volvo engines. I was replacing the steering actuator/cylinder and had the lower mounting bracket with the pivot bolt break off the inner transom plate. My immediate thought is to pull the engine and replace the inner transom plate. My question is has anyone moved the actuator/cylinder to the port engine? Is there any reason I couldn't do that. I know I would have to get a longer steering cable to reach the port side. Any Thoughts? |
