Help....how do I access the horn compressor on my 378???

I cannot get to the compressor which looks like it is above the microwave?

How do I remove the microwave?.

Anyone change the horn compressor?

Thoughts....do you access the compressor and microwave from the cabinet and if so, what is required??

Thanks Clayton!!

Is there a light fixture close, I know the access to our wiper motors on our 328 is via the light fixture

Hello,

Yes, there is a pot light near the area as well as a cut-out roof panel near the microwave...I will explore all options.

Thank you for the assistance....much appreciated!

Hey Clayton,

Seem to be the year for horns on 378's. Ours took a dump also. I removed our microwave but didn't find the compressor in that space, just the air lines attaching to the underside of the horn itself. My air lines disappear behind the port side cabinets.

Winter project to find the compressor. As for removing the microwave...you will notice two rubber feet on top of the microwave itself. These are threaded to exert pressure on the microwave housing. Above the cabinet are the threaded bolts that you back out with a screwdriver. My trim piece between the upper cabinet and the headliner was wedged, not attached, so just pushed it out of the way to loosen the screws.

If you find the compressor, please let me know.

Thanks, Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Thank you very much for the provided information pertaining to the horn compressor and microwave removal....much appreciated!

I will definitely let you know if/when I locate the air horn compressor and would appreciate if you could do the same.

What year is your 378??

I will look for the compressor in the Spring/2015.

Thank you again!

Clayton
