That looks like a good unit, Navman is a good make. I have the Lowrance 200FM or something like that , so I am not familiar with the Navman.

I have the Navman (now called NorthStar) chartplotter. The unit has been very nice. Part of the reason I purchased this unit (along with price, its use of C-Map and the higher screen resolution for units in this price range) was that it is capable of reading fuel consumption and calculating MPG and all that. You just buy the add-on fuel flow reader ($80, or so) and plug it into the chartplotter.

Next season I will purchase the companion VHF radio so that the chartplotter can talk to the VHF with the GPS info.

Anyway, I would be confident in the Navman / NorthStar products.
