I need to fix the one broken handle latch on the Lewmar hatch for our 328 Vista.






As you can see, one of the handles were broken off and I would like to just repair the broken handle. Four Winns only sells the entire window, frame hinge and all and is very expensive. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Like nearly everything on the boats, if it's made by another company you can almost always turn to them directly for spare parts (and usually for a LOT less than dealer prices).

How'd that one get broken? Corrosion or was it turned the wrong way when someone stepped on the closed hatch?

I broke it breaking into the boat. I leave the engine keys in the boat and forgot to bring the key for the cabin door. After driving 4 hrs. and arriving at 10 p.m. it seemed to me that prying on the hatch was the best way to get in Unfortunately it busted off one of the handles.

Bill, you might try calling Four Winns and asking their parts man for Model # for your Lewmar Hatch. That may help you with getting the correct part number.
