Hi, could anyone tell me their MPG's on a 2005-2009 ,348/358, with 5.7 I/O's. I have a 2000 328 with twin 5.7 280 HP, volvo duo-prop drives. I am getting a average of 1.52 mpg according to my navman 5500. Its very accurate , for ex. if it says i used 87 gallons on the navman, i could only put a extra 1/2 to 3/4 gallon in , then its spewing out of the vent. I am happy with my fuel burn, but I was wondering if the 348/358's are close to the same. thanks a lot, Joe.

I believe I get 1.1 MPG in my 348V. 320HP 5.7 GXI DP's. I run no wake at 700 rpm's, slow at 1500 rpm's and cruise at 3500 rpm's.

No fuel computer yet, but I reset my GPS trip when I fill up and I can predict my fuel needs by:

Starboard Tank: Miles traveled divided by divided by 1.1 mpg = gallons to fill
Port Tank: Same as starboard plus .75 gallons per hour that I run the generator.

If I buy 100 gallons of fuel this formula will put me within 2 gallons per side (+/- 4%).
Proven over three years and 300 hrs.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
I have a 2005 348 with 280 volvos and the ocean series dx outdrives. I have twin floscans which indicate my mpg to be .96 to 1.2 depending on conditions such as wind current bottom condition(my bottom is painted and a diver brushes it every month) and load. Thats at a 30 to 33 mph cruise in salt water. I have found the fuel flow and speed charts on the four winns web site to be pretty accurate.
If you plan to keep it in salt water I recommend a lift.

His profile shows him in "NE Ohio" so it's pretty unlikely he's dealing with salt water.

Speaking of which, update your own profile to include a location. It often helps others come up with more appropriate answers when they can get a vague idea where you're located. It's a shame the registration system doesn't require this from the start...

Bill , I agree, we boat on the ohio river, our boat is docked on the 43.3 mile marker. I appreciate all the reply so far. Thanks Joe.

I have a 2008 with 5.7 OSi only up to 18 Hours but my last run from Fort Lauderadle to Stuart about 95 Miles i used 80 Gallons so that give 1.18 i am in the process of installing a Navman 3100 Fuel computer, that will display MPG/current GPH etc you need to install two small turbine sensors in the feed lines but a simple job.

The Navman is made in New Zealand and i beleive has been bought by Northstar, i'll take a couple of pictures when i'm done.
