On our way back from dropping our boat off to have the 20 hour service done we were taking about how great the Four Winn’s boats are. She said her only complaint was the head sink. More the sprayer in the bathroom. I don’t usually use that one, but she says as soon as you hit the handle it sprays so fast that it splashes everywhere. She also said the hot and cold handles don’t seem to do anything.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a better solution?

Thanks in advance Bill

The boat is a 2008 V288

We have had no issues with ours. On the pull out handle, the switch is a 3 position switch with a momentary spray and latched on. We always keep the water setting turned off at the sink knobs. Do the Hot & Cold knobs do anything?

My wife said they don't do anything. I will check them next weekend.

Thanks Bill

Hmm ..... My wife complains of the way the head sink is set-up, as well. You have to hold the trigger (button) on the sprayer head in order to get water flow .... kind of silly. Anyway, we just keep a band arond the trigger so that it is always open .... then use the knobs as you normally would. And, yes, they do flow hot and cold just as the galley sink does.

I dont know if FW uses different sprayers (faucets) or not, but you should be able to lift up on the faucet lever and it will lock into the "on" position. In this position it is always on and you just use the normal hot/cold knobs and it does not spray all over.

I will check it out once I pick it up from the 20 hour service later this week.

Thanks for the responses Bill

On my 05 268, the head sprayer is strong yet the transom shower sucks! I had my mechanic look at it and he said everything was functioning properly, it just seems to be weak! Anyone else?

Hi All--Head sink is a little tricky--had the same problem found out my wife and son were leaving the
taps turned on and cranked about half way. Then as soon as you hit the lever full high pressure and
water all over the place. Last summer I turned the taps down and only opened them a little when
I needed water. That solved the problem for me. My transom shower has fine pressure. I think
it has more flow than the head sink so that may explain the difference. Make sure transom shower
hose isn't kinked--you can see it in the engine compartment.
