My manual Jabsco head isn't working properly. When I flip the selector to pump water in the bowl it evacuates the bowl, when I flip it to evacuate the bowl it also evacuates the bowl. The selector doesn't seem to do anything. It worked last fall but doesn't want to work this spring. Can these be rebuilt, and has anyone heard of this problem?

The selector switch(wet/dry) only allows/not allow fresh water to the bowl, when actuating the pump.

Jasbco does have a rebuild kit for the pump. I wish I would have known last spring, I bought a whole new head, jabsco had a parts list along with discriptions for rebuild parts.

Repair Kits Available for Jabsco manual marine toilet Models 29090-2000 & 29120-2000

A 29045-2000 Major service kit, pump
B 29040-2000 Pump Assembly
C 29094-2000 Valve cover & Handle assembly
D 29051-2000 Pump Cylinder Assembly
E 29047-0000 Bowl installation kit

Hope this helps. The rubber flapper valves I can see needing replacement fairly often, the ones I pulled out were fairly 'dry-rotted', a .50 cent valve and would have been back in service vs. $127 for whole new unit.

The valves tend to go bad in the pump assembly. Email Jabsco, they sent me a rebuild kit for free :)

I have rebuilt mine once and replaced the pump once, I am going to convert to electric this spring. Easier to tell guest how to use it and also has a macerator as part of the kit. Parts are like 400.00 to convert

The electric is on my wish list as well.

Going from a 3 gallon holding tank port-a-potty to a 16 gallon holding tank in the vista I thought that we could camp all week with no issues. But a couple 'guests' that do not know how to use a manual flush head, they fill the holding tank in 1 day!!!! :x
