I am looking to replace the standard (non-digital ready) Sharp Aquos 15" flat screen lcd set that came stock with the boat. Has anyone been sucessful with locating and installing a digital set in this space? If so, were you able to utilize the stock wall mount? If not what did you use? Thanks.

I believe the Sharp Aquos LCD's have a VESA mount. Most TV's are VESA compliant these days, so I think you should be fine. You will know when you take the old one off it is VESA compliant.
They also have adapters available to convert from one style to another.

Was your Sharp A/C powered with an inverter? If it was - options are endless.

If it's DC - consider the Jensen marine TVs. Good quality and marine rated - DC powered.

Unless you want to start adding an inverter.

The Sharp Aquos in our ’04 288 stopped working last summer. As of today, I intend to replace it with the Jensen 1507. The best price I have found is direct through Jensen at $369.99.

I am not sure but I think the the old Sharp Aquos runs on 110v ac (via inverter). If so would it be better to stick with 110v or go to a 12v like the Jensen? I am saving my pennies for this so don't really have any experience with this yet. I'll be anxious to stay in touch with your progress!

Depends on how it's installed. The Aquos on our 348 is sandwiched into the cabinet door at the galley, not using the VESA mounting holes. I think it's 12vdc.
