I'm sure there are threads like this that can be used over and over again. here goes mine.

2005 Vista 268

What is the white V shaped button under the throttle handle that can be depressed either starboard or port. I thought it was the engine trim at first but thats on the port side of the handle. Boat trim buttons are on the dash so Im out of guesses. I did not see the button listed in the manual either. Anyone?

Is it for raising the outdrives to trailering position? Allows the drives to raise higher than the trim buttons?

Don't think so. I didn't see the out drive move at all when this button was pressed.

I had a 268 but can't think of the button you're talking about. Can you post a pic?

I know the one.

I asked about it when we purchased our 268. The sales agent didn't know, so she asked around. Answer was that it is for working the trim tabs from left to right, but FW did not use it. They just used the standard dash switches.

Hmmm, interesting. If that's the case...What a shame. That's a good place to put that option to make quick trim changes on the fly.
