Well when it rains it pours. Just as the weather has finally started to warm up to get our bottom paint done, our dealer called yesterday to let me know that our 2007 338 is part of this Merc DTS recall. http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/reca ... id=090005T Has anyone else with DTS run into this issue? I have not seen anything about this until yesterday. They have ordered the replacement parts and hopefully they will get installed next week. Well I guess its better to handle this now rather than once the boat is in the water. |

Yes had the recall notice last fall and the work done at that time. Took quite a bit of work since the DTS units were located behind/under the dash on the 358. Had to take out the GOS unit to access the DTS control boxes which needed to be replaced. Make sure your engine(s) are registered with Mercury so you will be informed of any and all recalls. |

Thanks for the reply. We just bought the 338 and it is registered for the first time. We have had Volvo DP on our last 2 FW and only had an Alpha One on our old Sea Ray. Isn't technology fun?? |

We also had the recall last fall, the dealer came out and performed the repair at our dock. We didn't even know anything was done. No problems before no problems after. |
