Hello:

We own a '05 328 and our Vacuflush has worked flawlessly since we got it. Just got back from a very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend at the lake (Dale Hollow in TN) and the only hitch was a Vacuflush problem I uncovered when we got there. Specifically, there is water in the bowl and when I push down the foot pedal the ball opens. However, there isn't the usual "whoosh" created and the water/contents sucked down. Basically, when I hit the foot pedal, nothing happens. I definately have the switch turn on on the head panel and the VF breaker isn't popped. One more thing, we don't "use" our toilet so there is no chance of something clogging it. I maintain it and keep it clean, etc but again, no "usage". Any ideas on what could be the problem? Thanks in advance!

Bill

Can you hear the vacuum pump running? This is the klunka-klunka pump not the whirrr of the water pump

Vacu flushes are pretty simple. When you step on the pedal the ball opens and vacuum sucks the waste to the vacuum pump and then pushes it into the holding tank. After you flush, the pump keeps pumping to set-up for the next flush.

No whoosh means no vacuum. So either
the pump isn't running, so no vacuum, or
the vacuum is fine but a clog won't let the vacuum get to the bowl, or
the pumps running but the vacuum isn't building due to
a leak between the pump and the bowl,
a broken pump bellows,
bad or clogged duck bills

or something else :)
