the white 25qt is what is supposed to go there, you can fit one of the taller 20qt cooler in there too.

I would bet that the 268 uses the same as our 248, which is an white igloo marine 36 quart. We replaced the original one last year, picked it up at west marine. Looks as if they are $35.

Our 2008 V248 came with a 32 quart Igloo; we found that it wasn't insulated enough so I changed it out with a Coleman 32 Qt Extreme Marine (though I do not see it listed on their website anymore). It is larger on the outside but the same interior volume so the ice last longer. We needed to extend the folding base plate, that the cooler rest's on, and its held in place with the bungee straps using the coolers handles as the attachment point. It is tight but it keeps the ice longer.

Agree the igloo is not the best cooler and we only use it for drinks/day use only. When camping we take our metal side Colman coolers, they last for a few days with block ice at Powell, in extreme heat (95-105 deg F) and no/min shade. these coolers are left on the beach when we camp for a week.

If your regular old coolers aren't cutting it, drill some holes in the sides and lid, then squirt some of the expanding foam in. This will take a regular cooler to a 5 day +

Moderation is the key with this stuff....I swear it quadruples or more in volume when it dries.
