On shore power today. Running AC, two outlets, (fan and Coffee maker) and watching TV while cooking on the range. Shore power breaker popped. Flipped it back and was fine. Popped again later. This has never occured in the past. we have always used many of the electrical components in the past and no problems. Any ideas? Thanks, Jay |

Jay, you over loaded the breaker. Volts*amps = Watts so Watts/Volts = Amps. A/C with pump = 7 amps Coffee maker (1500 Watts) = 1500/ 120 = 12.5 amps Kenyon single burner stove = 10 amps TV = 2 amps So far 31.5 over the 30 amp service |

Are you running both 30A lines to the shore power pedestal? Or are you cheating and using a 30A splitter? (like I've done from time to time...) Seems like you've just run close enough to the breaker's threshold in the past and it's only now getting picky about it. Likely the breaker's wearing out. That is, if you're using a single breaker on the pedestal. Although this assumes you've got twin 30A inputs on your boat. If that's nto the case, nevermind... |

Give up coffee? BLASPHEMY! Get a coffee maker that's got a thermal carafe. I've got a Black and Decker SpaceSaver in our 348 and it works great. Dunno if that's what came with yours or not. That way it's only using power during the brew cycle. Otherwise it's off and depending on just the carafe to keep it warm. I've found it'll stay pretty hot for over a half-hour. More than enough time for the two of us to get our two mugs worth. Then just stagger your use of the other devices. Making the coffee FIRST, of course! |

Jay, we use a cheepy B&D coffee maker without issue. The key is not to be brewing with the stove on. Once the brewing is done, the warming plate shouldn't bee too much a load. |
