| Post subject: | 2008 V278 Speedometer Pitot Tube Clogged |
Just purchased a V278 8.1L; took it out on the river which was full of debris. Trying to locate the pitot tube which should be on the lower unit. Can't easily take the boat of the water; tried to feel for the opening under water. Can anyone help me zero in on the location. Tried to pressurize the tubing from the engine compartment, no luck. Thanks |

If it's the Volvo DP drive - it's on the leading edge of the drive. run your finger up the endge and you will feel a small indentation. That's the speedo pickup. Good luck... might use a little nail and poke it around to loosen up any debris once you find it! |
