Noticed my out drive trim was not working. looks like there is a leak coming from the hydraulic oil lines connected to the out drive. I have it at the shop but they have not checked it out yet. Have any of you seen this before? I couldn't get to the nut that connects the lines to the drive. |

were u able to identify where the leak was coming from exactly? Was it from one of the lines? Did you have fluid in the reservoir? |

The fluid was very low. and the leak seems to be coming from the very end of the line near the out drive cylinder. |

If it's at the joint they are sealed with small "O" ring. A brake spanner would give better access to the nut than an open ended spanner and stop it getting rounded off, it might just need nipping up a little, or the "O" ring replacing Graham |

They got to look at it. Bad news. the line its self is cracked. they called volvo and they are on national back order. Sounds like this is a known issue due to bad design. You guys have any leads on this issue? |

I'd try a local hydraulic hose/ line supplier. Flare nut wrench? Took me ages to figure out what a "faucet" was ( "Tap" here in the UK). And as for aluminium and aluminum, let's not go there! Graham |

If you're really stuck and it's only a short term repair you're after for the 4th July weekend, the parts don't need to be stainless. Hydraulic hose suppliers usually have a load of different couplings/ metal pipes in stock. Graham |

Have you tried just snugging up the fitting yet? Edit: Oops - just re-read the cracked hose post above.... ![]() |
