Don't have a Clarion, but it's an easy question to answer, Yes, the XMD3 has an aux input, and a paired philips/RCA/phono female plug input coupling hanging off the back of the unit. You just need an RCA to Phono short wire to hook in. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the input to match your player.
Press and hold the 'T' button until the display goes to the adjustment mode.
Press Fast Forward (>>) until AUX SENS appears
Press Vol Up or Down to pick high, med, or low
Press T again to get the normal display
