On my '04 268, how does the shower sump work? In the small hanging closet, there is an access panel for the shower sump. That bilge pump works. Say it stops working, does that just over flow to the forward bilge, which would over flow to the aft bilge? The forward bilge pump isn't working, but am I on my way to get a new bilge pump for it. I'm just curious how this all drains... |

Pretty much if the pump doesn't work the box will spill over into the bilge. There is no "forward and aft" bilge since technically they are not separated and water tight. Anything that spills over would eventually make it's way to the rear of the boat and the regular bilge pump would get it. But I myself, don't trust that FW sealed all that regular old plywood that makes up the floors of our boats and would not want ANY water standing in the bilge period. So get it fixed and make sure it's always operational. The sump will require constant maintenance if used, since all the soapy crap will go into the sump and then bacteria will grow. |

Thanks Brett. Shower sump is working just fine, but it would be a major PITA to replace that pump. I've already got a new foward bilge pump...installing it in a few. |
