Recently purchased a 2008 V278; tried to get the Sony unit to recognize the Sirius unit, does anyone no the location of the box, I have searched in the obvious locations.

On my 248 its under the galley cabinet. I found it when I had the fridge out.

I had to have mine replaced last season because of the same issue. Turned out I had a defective Sirius unit. If I recall correctly it was behind and above the Sony unit.It was over a year ago though so I could be mistaken. Perhaps you could give a dealer a call to double check with them.

Ours is behind the instrument panel not located to far away from the antenna on the starboard side.
