Will a Honda Generator 2000 run the ac unit on our 298 Vista?

When on shore power do you leave the ac on or is there a dehumidify setting I can leave it on

Thanks

I do not know what size (btu) a/c a 298 has, maybe a 10,000? I would bet it would run it. The honda EU2000 will run a 13.5k btu rv A/C with a hard start kit.

I don't have a hard start kit on my rv, it will run everything but the a/c.
Now on our boat, it runs everything, but we have a small 5k btu A/C also.

I leave mine in the 'dehumidify' mode. On cruisair systems you activate this by pressing three buttons together and then the screen lights up with "HU". This basically just runs the system every 15 minutes or so (it can be programmed to various intervals). This just lets the system cycle the air in the cabin every so often. It doesn't actually have a humidity sensor. Thus in some areas it's often handy to be able to change the cycle intervals. Check the cruisair manual for more info.

My 05 has a 10,000 btu reverse cycle ac/heat system. I have a 2000 Kipor generator which is 'almost' identical to the Honda and it will run everything.... except the ac/heat system.
