Morning Gents, Looking a bit ahead ... I was planning to leave my 248 in the water this winter. Planning to purchase the Xtreme Heater (300w) for the bilge. Question is: is there a source to buy covers or plugs for the air vents? I can have the admiral make some canvas covers, but I'm not crazy about drilling for snaps on the side of the hull. Not sure what your vents look like, on my 248 they are seperate fiberglass intakes. If yours are like that, couldn't you make "plugs" out of high density foam? Just make some sort of template and then cut them out of the foam with a electric carving knife (like you use for turkey) and then affix straps to them somehow. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I was really just hoping that there was a slick-doggy attachment already out there. BTW, this is the year the Eagles go all the way (huge fan) ... not the Steelers. ![]() Craig C. |

Craig, Trust me it's ok to root for the Eagles, because I am not a fan of sports, in general! ![]() To me, if it's not prefixed with "motor" then it's not a sport I follow! There is no slick pre made solution that I am aware of, I think foam plugs would work great. You could even attach some "Remove Before Flight" banners so it'll look like a jet in the hangar! ![]() |
