Hello, I bought a 2000 248 Vista with a 5.0 Gi volvo about a month ago. I was reading in the owners manual that they say to run 89 oct fuel, I ahve run some 87 through it I think.... Not sure what they sell at our marina. What does everyone put in their 5.0. Can I run 87 oct through it? Thanks for your help, Mike |

I run the low grade in everything, unless it pings! Octane retards predetination, that's all. |

i ve owned a 2000 248 vista with the same setup as yourself for2 seasons now ,i always run 87 octane, the boat runs just fine im on lake simcoe |

I use 87 in my 2002 5.7 GI without any issues |
