Hi new to Ifour winns - lot of good info. We are from Wisconsin and a new 2008 338 on Ebay looks like a good deal. What do you people think of a new two year old 338 for $169,900.00? Looks like other dealers have left over 2008 338's too.
Thanks

Too much! If they can still get a factory rebate you should be able to do a hell of a lot better. If it's the one I'm thinking of it hardly has any options either... It's only one year old until Jan 1st! Good luck finding a '10 model or even an 09 with all of the leftovers, unless you want to order one..

I know of a well appointed 2008 338 that is now priced at 139k here in Seattle.

No bow thruster, but it's not really a must have on the 338.

Leftover '08 V358's can be had for less than that so I would concur, not a good deal.

Where are those 358's for that kind of price? Heck, I might move up from the 318!

GOD... holy smokes, what a deal!

I wonder if it could get just a little farther away... ha ha. daytona to seattle. I wonder what that shipping bill might be!

Quite the deal and every option I'd want. However, I've decided to put off any upgrades until IPS/whatever Volvo is calling their stern drive joystick system or Zeus/Axius boats are old enough to fall into my price range. To the OP, I'd say you can do much better on a 338 in this market.

You could take it through the Panama canal.

Fuel costs would be killer. Not to mention the on-going issues with drug runner confrontations. Overland trucking has it's own hassles but it'd surely be less trouble.

Yea, they were joking that I should run the 338 up the coast from Daytona. Pretty much a horrible idea from a break-in / shakedown standpoint as well.

Hey Brendan,

Did you see that 358 when you were down there? Any stories to report?

Yep! Thought I posted about it in another thead but maybe not. I have a few pix. It's set up exactly like mine except it has the topside fridge. Ask for Greg if you call.
