Any ideas on how to make my headlight white again? It is extremely yellowed and just looks out of place. Also my transom shower door and the fresh water intake housings are yellowed. |

I assume you mean the spotlight lens. Use white toothpaste to get the yellowing off, then wax and buff afterwards. I have also seen people use ATF trans. fluid on yellowed car headlights, believe it or not, it does work. If it is not the lens, and the spotlight housing itself, paint or replace. Not much you can do about the water hook up and transom shower door either, all 2000 models yellow after time. Replacement, or paint them is about all you can do. |

I think Marinco makes a special spray called Nicrocote or something like that, specifically for the housings of the spot lights and port lights and vents and other items that are ABS or PVC. The lens is glass it won't yellow. |

Thanks guys. I was specifically talking about the shell not the glass. I was afraid to take the spotlight off because I really do not know how to without cutting the wires and they are tight as it is. Anyway, I will find a way some how. Safe sailing! |

You have to cut the wires? Mine are all marine butt connectors and 1 molex connector. I take mine off every winter and take it inside. |

Is there a good way of splicing a quick connect for the wires? |

Yeah you could pick up some self sealing crimp butt connectors from West Marine (need something that has a built in heat shrink and glue so they are weather tight when you heat shrink them) then just cut all the wires, strip them back and crimp on the butt connectors, females on one side of the harness and male's on the other side. |
