I'm trying to sell my Vista278 and we sold our trailer back to the dealer because we wet-slip it and don't own a vehicle capable of towing it. I would like to be able to provide potential buyers with quotes on trailers but I don't know where to get them. Can anyone suggest some websites?

I have looked for 5 years, and no luck without having one built. Hard to sell em' without a trailer, isn't it............

I PM'd this guy (jay) the other day to see if he still had his, but have heard nothing. You can try and see if you have any luck. But we may have to enter a bidding war for it, as I will probably need it shortly too.

Thanks for the link. I have a local company that will build an all aluminum trailer, dual axle, w/brakes and the whole 9 yards for $3500, if I need it. Just trying to avoid it, as I will never get that $3500 back in the sell price of our boat.

Have a couple "lookers" that may be interested without a trailer. (fingers crossed) :)

You U.S.A guys are so lucky to have the larger market for specialty items. I wouldn't be able to get an aluminum trailer for less than $7500 maybe even more.

I am currently looking for a trailer for the new to me 93 Vista I bought but am having no luck finding a good used one and am thinking about either one of the excaliburs or building my own. I have to assemble pricing for all the components to see if it is worth my effort or not!

What size Vista ? I know this won't work for a 268/278, but possibly for yours? A little work and it would look okay, for $400. :?: :?:

I got a used trailer for our 255 2 years ago for $1200. I use it 2-3 times a year for annual maintenance and such. Almost every town here in Florida has a Trailer dealer. And plenty of used ones in the paper.

That is exactly what I am after! Too bad it's an 8 hour drive! I will contact the sellers and see if it's still available.

The trailer is about 5 minutes from where I work. Let me know if you need anything.

Nice aquisition by the way !

Did you try a PM to Jay? It's an exact fit for your boat.

These guys will make one for you. I've seen their work (an acquaintance of mine had one made for his FW 258) ... it's second to none.

Did you check with a FW dealer to see how much just a trailer would be? You would think they should be able to be competitive. Maybe they could just have an empty trailer delivered with their next order?

Your dealer you bought the boat from might have one...maybe even your old one.

Venture Trailers are pretty decent quality and not that expensive...Load Rite is good too...all we have here are galvanized with some aluminum trailers...nothing else lasts in the salt...my old L-R is 15 years old and the galvanization is still in good shape but I replaced all the fasteners....
