New member to forum. Just bought new to me 2004 Vista 268 in July. Having a great summer using the boat. Last night we were going out for a night cruise to watch fireworks with the family and the nav lights nor the spotlight worked. Previous drives at night both lights worked fine. When I turned on the nav lights the cockpit lights came on dim, then when I turned the cockpit lights switch on, the cockpit lights came on bright as normal. The spotlight remote panel ON switch light turned on, green, when I flipped it on but the spotlight never came on. Probably just a short in the wiring somewhere but just curious to see if anyone else had same/similar issue? |

Here is the thread and what I was told. I haven't been able to get to my boat at all in September to check it out due to sick kids, a funeral and flooding in our area. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4441 |

So after a couple of days sitting until I could get to the boat, when I got to it the lights were working. Everything was normal. All that I can think happened is that we had a rain come through and the ledge by the helm was full of water. There must have been some that ran down and leaked through the spotlight console causing a short between the nav lights and cockpit lights. |
