So far this morning I put pink through the AC system, flushed some down the head and also sucked it up the toilets fresh water intake. I blew out all the water lines, and then pumped pink threw them. I pour some down each drain, and into the shower sump until it pumped it over board. ` I serviced my gen, and drained the heat exchanger, then pumped it full of pink. After I'm done with lunch, I'm going to service the engine, drain it, and fill it with pink. Then its drain the outdrive, pull it, check engine alignment, and then refill it. I think thats it. Anything I'm missing? |

Anything I'm missing? I would blow the pink out of the water lines as much as possible, and drain it out of the water heater. It leaves a bad smell that take quite awhile to go away in the spring, even if you flush. I drain my fresh water tank and put 2-3 gallons in it and pump it to all the faucets, then blow most if it back out. I know I have the protection in the low areas and with most if it out, the smell and taste isn't nearly as bad and it can be flushed out quote easily. I don't even put any in my hot water heater, I bypass it and drain it. |

Yes, pink in the hot water heater takes forever to get the bad taste and smell out of it in the spring. By pass and drain it is the preferred method for sure. |

Agree on the hot water heater. Always just bypassed it and drained. Use a lot less AF that way as well and no smell/taste in the spring. |

I should have put that, I installed a hot water heater bypass kit. I also installed a fitting that allowed me to draw pink directly from the bottle, so I didn't have to put any in the freshwater tank. Good idea Jeff, I'll blow the pink out of the lines when I bring the boat home to clean it up before it goes into inside storage for 5 months. |

Hey Something's wrong here....What about the big unveiling of this vessel? We have heard alot about it and seen small glimpses but I thought you were going to put together a nice package for us to peruse? Or did I miss it? ![]() I am glad to see you were able to use it some this year. |

Exactly what I do, I have a bypass system on the water heater and put a valve in front of the water pump. Literally takes 10 minutes start to finish for the fresh water system. Water heater - two valves, half a turn each bypasses the heater ![]() Water pump - unscrew the cap, screw on the hose, insert hose in bucket of pink stuff ![]() ![]() By the way I've been MIA for awhile and just saw your thread on the new boat, looks very nice. |

I prefer -100 (blue) for engine systems at least because the -50 stuff (pink) got kind of hard when I tested it at zero in the freezer... |
