| Post subject: | New Cockpit Speakers |
Last month when I was having battery issues, I took the cockpit speakers out so I could more easily get to things. I found that the cones were pretty deteriorated and wondered how any sound came out at all. So I ordered some new one Jensens from Bass Pro and put them in last weekend. What a pain this simple task was. Why don’t all 6 ½ inch round speakers the some diameter? These new speakers needed the hole to be about a ¼ inch bigger so I had to use the jig saw and enlarge the hole just a smidge. It is done and the sound is much better, but wasn’t as easy and just removing and re-installing!!! |
