ChoicesII, are you "268Vista" on the Boat US Messageboard? If so, then obviously ignore the attached link. If not, then the link below (if I did this correctly) is to a thread at Boat US messageboards on this subject. Good Luck today with the #'s on the 318!

I am one in the same. These are the two forums I hang out at during the boating off-season, thanks.

I have done all my research. We went to the NY boat show, read every forum comment, visited marinas, visited numerous CT dealers, and even shopped for boats in Florida. I went looking today at the 318 ready to pull the trigger and my wife decided that she liked the 338 better. I, being the good husband and not wanting to disappoint my wife gave in and bought the 338. We take delivery in April/May.

Thank You !! Yes, I did get the boat at G and R. Next weekend to the boat show in Hartford to try and figure out what marina to put the boat in.

If your dealer is half a good as mine you will love the boat. Just be prepared to be a beta tester (computer term for those who buy the first of anything and then work the kinks out, giving advice to the factory).

I know that this is 1st year of the boat. We discussed this at the time of purchase. We ordered the boat from the factory equipped how we want it. I would not buy a new boat at the beginning of a production run. The boat is not scheduled to be produced until March. Hopefully they will fix any production issues before then. We made the early production mistake last time on our '03 205 sundowner purchased at the Sept Norwalk show. It was a great boat, but there were some problems that needed to be worked out. Four Winns and Volvo were excellent in taking care of them. We have owned Four Winns for over 20 yrs and I know they will take care of us. I know the owners at G & R marine for years and I know they will take care of us. The 338 seems to be stretched version of the 318. The 318 has been a great boat with very few problems. My wife and I can't wait till it arrives.

We just signed for a slip in Westbrook, CT.

I bought new charts of Long Island Sound.

If I only could figure out how to take the summer off and still be able to afford the payments and the gas.

Congrats, you have just purchased my dream boat. The 338 is a winner, and will be tough competition for others in that size.

Please keep us updated when you take delivery, and post some pictures when you get her.

Counting the days. Taking delivery of our new 318 on April 7th. Weeks have slowed down since football season ended. Hope the time goes quick.

I don't have a delivery date for my 338 but it just seems real tough to think about it with the snow flying today. Of course my brother in Florida called me today to let me know that it was in the 80's. My only consolation today was that the West Marine catalog arrived today.

338 is awesome. Saw my first one at the DC boat show. Really great looking boat. Wife wants to trade 318 for that. We have not even put 318 in the water yet. Have fun with it.
