Here is something I noticed when getting ready to put her away last fall, not sure what to make of it. Dont remeber seeing it last year, but Im not sure. Seems hard to belive the hull could flex enough to do this, does it?

Crack?!

Is this a fender contact area?

Hmm ... if no stress cracks are visible on the outside, I would just grind this and the surrounding areas down and lay in a couple sheets of glass and then a coating of gelcoat.

I thought I was seeing things but the more I look at your picture, I can't help but wonder if that crack wasn't there before the gray coating was applied. If you look at the part of the crack above the power cord it looks like the gray coating was painted over the crack. In any event, I don't think it is serious, and I'm with M3eater - add a couple layers of mat and recoat it.

I had the guys at the four winns dealer where i take it for service look at it (Hi Dave), and they said the same thing... just was seeing if anybody else had any additional thoughts or ideas. Thanks for the input.

What do you store in there? Could it be getting beat up from the inside? What about flex from the top surface? And I have the same question as M3 eater do you typically hang a fender near that spot? But it looks like an easy fix. (and I use the term "easy" loosely). :D
