Some M-fers broke into my 268 while it was parked on the lot at the brokers waiting to be sold. I'm so pissed  and would love to get my hands on them but i'll never get my stuff back. They broke the handle on the cabin door to get in,(told the broker not to lock it so this wouldn't happen), and once down below they stole the DVD player and flip down TV. Luckily they didn't cause too much damage when they removed these two things but I'm still friggen pissed. I provided the local PD with the serial numbers so that they can go into NCIC but thats a crap shoot getting them back. I'm trying to replace these items before it scares off any prospective buyers. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on replacing these? Thanks for letting me vent.
On the positive side, when I paid for our slip today, we were able to get an outside slip so the view while docked will be a lot better this year. C'mon spring, its been a long time since the '08 season since we were dry docked last year.

Sorry to hear about that Dave..... vent away, stuff like that pisses me off too.

I had a catalytic converter stolen off one of my work vans, they took a sawzall to the pipes, cast me just shy of a $1000.00 to repair, had to replace the whole exhaust (stainless steel) , and O2 sensor. I called a few scrap yards, and the most they pay for them is $75-$100.00. Its the times we live in unfortunately.

Thanks for letting me vent.... :D

Sorry to hear about that. Nothing I hate more then when some worthless people steal something from you.

Wow, so sorry to hear about the break-in Buzz. We have been lucky I guess, as it has never happened to us. I hope it stays that way.

Your insurance might be able to help recover some of the costs as was already mentioned.

Another reason why not to buy a new boat without having your old one sold first (I apologize in advance, if this is not the case). As an ex-two boat owner, I sympathize with you and hated having to look after two boats. Oh well, live and learn and, like I used to always tell myself, it could be worse. Hang in there and I pity the little bastards when you catch them.
