We're taking a few longer trips on the boat this season, so I'm trying to get ideas together to make the boat more user friendly.

I'm doing a few of the mods some members have done, still up in the air about which way to go on the grill. Right now our toothbrushes etc are kept in a bag we take off the boat every time we put it back on the trailer. I've been thinking about getting some sort of holder so we can keep them onboard in the medicine cabinet, and have them out of the way when we shower.

After some searching I found this,

which looks like it might be too big.

I then saw this,

Which should be small enough to do the trick. Just over $10 for three of them shipped, so I'll give it a shot. Every time we've gone to Walmart/Meijer/BedBathBeyond lately I've been looking and coming up empty handed.

I did find a nice small squeegee to keep in the head to dry it off after a shower, but still searching for the perfect paper towel holder to mount under the cabinet in the galley. I'd like something a bit nicer than the plain white plastic holders...

I'm right there with you! Last year I created an overnight bag for all of the necessary stuff (toothbrush, contact solution, old pair of glasses, snacks, etc.) that stayed on the boat, and made some minor improvements, but this year I am hoping to spend more full days and nights on the boat with the three kids since the admiral and the 1 year old will stay home! I am looking into a grill option, adding additional shore power outlet for the Honda genny I bought last year and a bunch more of little options. With four kids (6,4,3,1) I figure I only have a few more years with the 268 before having to upgrade. Maybe a 358 (Sierra, keep me posted!) or a sedan bridge, time will tell. But, boy am I looking forward to this season!

We are on the boat every weekend... and I was tired of turning aroud when the admiral forgot something (blowdryer, makup, or whatever) I finally got her to pack a duplicate of everything and keep it on the boat. That maks all the difference. We keep some canned food on and replenish as we use it as well. When we get home we empty the firdge into a refriedge we have in the garage, we keep all the stuff in one spot so all you do is grab the stuff and load it into the boat, without having to think about it too much... Pillows and towels and suits and cookware, knives, silverware, all stay on the boat, so it just throw a small bag together and we are rady to go. Load the food and beverages of choice and we are off.

Fire..

We have a toothbrush holder similar to the one you have shown, we have extra toothbrushes and toothpaste, advil, and anything else you can think of. It all stays on the boat all summer.

Good ideas. I'm starting my lists of things we need to buy and keep on board as duplicates. It doesn't have to be 268s only, Cougarcruiser and Sierra can help us I'm sure.

Any issues with leaving your toothbrushes on board full time Jeff?

Those 3M command strips are awesome!! We use them on the boat, RV, Car, Home, ect.... they hold very well, dont pull paint off, and easy to remove.
I did not want to permanently mount XM antenna on boat, command strip it down on bow for trips we want to use it. water proof and holds, until you remove.

For tooth brushes, wife bought a small basket with suction cups on the back, stuck them to back wall, around mirror, been there for almost 3 years. Same small basket things to hold soap, wash cloth.

Wife has Boat and RV loaded with everything but food and water, small duffel bag with clothes. All we got to do for a weekend trip is go!!

Jeff, where do you have your toothbrush holder mounted? That small medicine cabinet in the head it won't fit....the shelf in there comes out to the door.
