I have a 2002 268 Vista with 350 MPI Merc DP. I know you never get the performance that the mfg. says (weight of fuel, water, people etc.). On my boat I run about 4000 rpm to get a cruise speed of 30mph on both speedo and GPS. Does that seem normal to you guys? Seems a little high on the RPM for what I'm getting. |

You should be at about 34mph at 4,000 RPM, under ideal conditions. |

also depends on what elevation your boating at as well. If it was prop'd/geared for high alt and you have boat near sea level you will notice higher RPM/slower sleep, possibly over limit on RPM at WOT. What RPM do you see at WOT, is it near what manufacture recommends? |
