Has anyone done this before? My boats an '04 and thinking this is something I should do. Is it as simple as just taking each screw out one by one, putting a light coating of Life Calk on it, and then screwing back in? I've read on another board how some boats have bolts holding the bow rails on, not just screwed into the deck. How is it on a 268? |

Not sure what yo mean when you say "Rebed", but if you pull the trim piece off above the galley (held on by velcro) you can see the bow rail standoffs are thru bolted. Hope that helps |

It does, thanks Jeff. By rebed I mean take off all the screws and what not, coat with caulk, and put back into place to avoid future leaks. I did this with all of my bow sunpad snaps as a prior boat I looked at had a lot of moisture in the deck due to those not being sealed properly and leaking. A friend has had some issues with his current and prior Sea Rays not being fully sealed and leaking, so I'm just trying to be proactive. |
